Sure, but I’m also an inflammation slayer.
The world health organization estimates that 750 million people worldwide have autoimmune disease. 50 million — give or take a few million — live right here in the USA.
I am and I’m here to tell you there’s HOPE for those who want to feel better but are terrified about what pharmaceutical therapies offers.
Drugs that suppress your autoimmune system in order to give you some relief from your symptoms are very scary. They stop your immune system from doing what it was designed to do…protect your body from foreign invaders. Things like germs, bacteria, viruses, disease and even cancer.
You don’t want to suppress your immune system long-term, you want to strengthen it.
You know how you can do that?
The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP)
AIP (a/k/a PaleoAIP, Autoimmune Diet, AIP Paleo) will make you feel much better without compromising your body’s ability to protect itself. You want your immune system to be your ally, acting on your behalf. You don’t want it attacking your body.
Reducing inflammation is key to wrangling that beast.
Getting on the autoimmune protocol and staying on it is your key to inflammation reduction without the negative outcomes that are possible with immunosuppressant drugs.
While the solution is simple, it’s not necessarily easy to implement because when you change what you eat, your whole life changes, not just your food.
The process can be difficult and quite honestly, overwhelming on a lot of levels. Having someone who can coach you through it makes a huge difference.
AIP is not intended to be a short-term fix but a long-term lifestyle overhaul. Yes, you read that correctly, I used the words long-term and overhaul to explain where you are headed with AIP. Let’s make this all clear right out of the gate – if you aren’t in it to win, to change and be changed, you won’t be reaping the rewards of this protocol.
Here’s the truth: This change will require some work and you’ll be challenged in ways you never dreamed possible. But arriving on the other side is an incredible reward. This isn’t some mamby pamby “I’ll cut back and lose a few pounds for a month or two” kind of diet, it’s a lifestyle change – full throttle.
And that friends, is why AIP coaches even exist.
Your autoimmune disease has some genetic components, but it is not your genes that have dealt you the horrible hand of cards you are holding. Your food and lifestyle have turned those genes on (commonly referred to as epigenetics or “expressing your genes”) and pretty much left you with a big fat mess.
Unknowingly for many of us, our choices have exacerbated our condition. Whether we were cognizant of their outcomes or not doesn’t much matter. We made some decisions and the result was illness. Deciding if you want to stay where you are or if you want to move to a more energetic and happier place is completely up to you.
No one knows when or if you are ready, only you can make that call.
For me, my Hashimoto’s wasn’t a death sentence, it was a wake up call. A call to let me know that the path I was on was destructive and that if I wanted to live a better quality of life, I needed to listen to what my body was telling me and make the changes necessary to change my outcome.
Have you reached your pain point?
Tired of feeling crappy all the time?
Tired of being fatigued all the time?
You can choose to be a victim to your autoimmune disease, or you can choose to fight it.
If you are a fighter, I might just be the gal you need to help you reach your goals.
Regardless of what autoimmune disease you have, reducing the inflammation in your body is key to reducing your symptoms and improving your overall quality of life.
Inflammation has multiple sources. Food is the greatest contributor to our inflammatory conditions, but their are other sources that need to be addressed, #2 behind food is stress.
It’s a multi-layered process and wrangling it doesn’t happen over night.
The initial shock of the depth of change required to feel better can be pretty overwhelming. You can’t go from zero to hero overnight. No ma’am. You’ve got to chunk it out into doable, bite-sized piece and consume it one forkful at a time.
One-on-one guidance helps
As an autoimmune patient, chef, educator and organizer, I can support you through the AIP process.
Your brain, your schedule, your family, your job….are all very different from mine. Creating a supportive environment that works for you is key to your success.
But here’s the rub. Brace yourself – this isn’t easy for everyone to hear.
You may NOT be ready yet.
How do I know that? I was one of those people who wasn’t ready when I received the word that grand change was afoot. It took me 4 months to believe that maybe gluten was a problem for me and that I should consider getting off of it for a bit to see if it improves my symptoms.
FOUR MONTHS for me to wrap my brain around that ONE step.
I get it.
All. Of. It.
I’ve been through it all and guess what?
I’m still here.
I’m not just surviving but I’m thriving.
I’m healthier than I ever dreamed possible at my age, even with an incurable illness.
I have come to view my disease was an opportunity for a freaking life do-over. Yes. It. Was.
So what am I doing?
I’m doing it all over, only better this time.
Are you ready to take the plunge?
I offer a FREE 20 minute “get to know me” session for anyone who is interested in working with me.
I kissed a lot of frog during my own journey and gave money to people I ultimately did not want to be doing business with. I don’t want you to have to suffer the same fate. Let’s test the water and see how it feels.
If you are not ready, I don’t want to take your money.
I only align myself with those who are ready to do what needs to be done to illicit change.
If we decide to move forward here are the two choices I currently offer my coaching clients.
Below is a list of ALL of the
I currently offer.
In these sessions we discuss what you need. Strategy? Education? Cooking help? Sometimes you need someone to just listen…to hear you. You decide what you need based on where you are today.

Buy 10 sessions, get 11th session free.
How we choose to schedule those sessions will be determined when we put your customized plan together.
AIP Elimination Protocol – 4 Week Supported Jump Start
This package is for the person who wants to jump in and start making change now. The first month is the most difficult and getting supported through the process is key to moving forward.
Before our first consult, you’ll receive an email package with a few downloadable forms to complete and return. Once that’s done, we’ll schedule our first appointment and you’ll receive a second email with all of the forms, guidelines and the dietary information you’ll need to start the dietary portion of the AIP Protocol.
In order for you to maximize your time with me, it is highly recommended that you read everything I send before our initial consult. After you download and read/review these documents, we’ll establish a start date then schedule and complete our beginning session (1 Hour via phone/internet).
We’ll follow up once a week for the next three weeks with a 30 minute support call (3 -30 minute phone/internet calls in total).
After 30 days you’ll be well on your way to maintaining your momentum and staying compliant while your gut heals and your body improves. The length of time necessary to stay on the AIP Protocol is different for everyone and tracking your progress will be discussed during our consults.
No refunds will be offered after the AIP Protocol forms have been emailed.
Do you need help navigating your supermarket? Not sure what is AIP compliant? Not sure how to read labels? What to do with different fruits and vegetables? What you should or should not be buying?
The Supermarket is a great please to learn. When you stroll the aisles it’s easy to remember questions you’ve had but have forgotten to ask.
I’ll meet you at your supermarket (Pensacola area) and spend time touring and answering your questions. There is an additional charge for areas outside of Pensacola. AIP handouts included.
1.5 hours $99 pre-paid for 1 person.
If you have any questions about any of this process feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone me at 504-616-7171.
